About Me

I love credit unions.

I’ve always been a fan of locally owned businesses, and I’ve been a credit union member since childhood.

After working nine years in the marketing department of a credit union, I know what makes credit unions tick. I know what the front-line staff needs to succeed in their daily conversations with members, and I know what support the marketing team needs to give that to them. In fact, my public and member communications work won a Diamond Award from the Credit Union National Association Marketing and Business Development Council and a Spectrum Award from the Northwest Credit Union Association (now GoWest Credit Union Association).

I’ve gotten certifications from Hubspot in social media, email marketing, digital advertising, and inbound marketing.

As a freelancer, I’m a free agent, so I can help more than one credit union succeed.

And that is really exciting to me. I want everyone to know why a member-owned financial cooperative can be a great choice. There’s a special feeling when you’re part of a credit union. That there is a team of people just like you who are pulling for you to achieve your financial goals. I want to help you share that feeling with more members.

Before working for a credit union, I worked at an educational technology nonprofit and a nonprofit teaching newspaper. Yup, I’ve got a lifelong history working with mission-driven not-for-profits — I guess I’m a sucker for a good story and great group of people working to achieve it.
